In the final of the Uttar Pradesh (UP) T20 2024, the Meerut Mavericks triumphed over the Kanpur Superstars by 5 wickets, clinching the title at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.
Sameer Rizvi and Shaurya Singh guide Kanpur Superstars to 190/5
After winning the toss, the Meerut Mavericks elected to bowl first. The Kanpur Superstars posted a competitive total of 190 runs for 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Sameer Rizvi was the standout performer with the bat, scoring 57 runs off 36 balls, while Shaurya Singh contributed a quick-fire 56 runs off just 23 balls, hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes. Shoaib Siddiqui also chipped in with a solid 35 runs off 31 balls.
For the Mavericks, Yash Garg was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for 47 runs in his 4 overs. Zeeshan Ansari and Vishal Chaudhary also took a wicket each, helping to contain the Superstars to a manageable total.

Chikara scored 62 runs off 31 balls, while Kaushik played a crucial knock of 69 not out off 43 balls, hitting 5 sixes and 2 fours.
