The International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently unveiled the updated T20I rankings, offering a comprehensive look at the standout performers in the shortest format of the game. As the T20 format evolves, these rankings serve as a dynamic reflection of the players’ contributions and form on the global stage.

Batter’s list: Suryakumar Yadav reigns supreme, Phil Salt’s meteoric rise

In the batters’ list, India‘s Suryakumar Yadav continues to assert his dominance, holding the coveted top position. However, the spotlight shines on England‘s Phil Salt, who has witnessed a remarkable surge to the second spot. Despite England’s recent T20I series loss to the West Indies, Salt’s explosive form was evident as the latter amassed an impressive 331 runs in five matches, boasting a strike rate of 185.96 and knocking 22 sixes out of the park. Other notable mentions in the top five include Mohammad Rizwan, Aiden Markram and Babar Azam and , claiming the third, fourth and fifth position respectively.

Bowlers’ list: Akeal Hosein climbs, Adil Rashid maintains pinnacle

In the bowlers’ arena, Caribbean spinner Akeal Hosein has ascended two places to secure the number four spot, courtesy of his stellar performance against England in the T20I series, where he clinched six crucial wickets. However,  Adil Rashid remains at the pinnacle, maintaining his position as the top-ranked T20I bowler. Rashid Khan and Ravi Bishnoi are closely following, securing the second and third positions, respectively.

All-rounder’s chart: Shakib Al Hasan continues to dominate

The all-rounder’s arena sees Bangladesh‘s Shakib Al Hasan continuing his reign at the top. Afghan stalwart Mohammad Nabi occupies at the second spot. At the same time, Markram, Hardik Pandya and Marcus Stoinis sit on the third, fourth and fifth positions, showcasing the dynamic and diverse talent in the realm of T20I all-rounders.
